The Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Institute was established in April 2011 as part of the WSH 2018 strategy to put Singapore's WSH performance on par with leading countries. To promote stronger links with the industry, in 2012, WSH Institute came under the purview of the WSH Council.  On 1 Oct 2017, with the reconstitution of WSH Council under the Tripartite Alliance Ltd (TAL), WSH Institute came under the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).

Envisioned as a key initiative to safeguard the safety and health of persons at work, the Institute provides evidence-based information and solutions to MOM, WSH Council and key stakeholders for the formulation and review of national WSH policies, strategies and programmes. WSH Institute also anticipates new and emerging WSH trends and risks in Singapore.

A Healthy Workforce in a Safe Workplace

Provide Evidence-based, Insightful and Practical Solutions.

WSH Institute Logo

The logomark in WSH Institute’s visual identity is a stylised triangle with three-dimensional sides, which is symbolic of the mission of the Institute to provide evidence-based, insightful and practical solutions. The inclined triangular element portrays the Institute as a forward looking organisation and the infinite triangle design alludes to the Institute’s commitment and endless quest to lead, share, and contribute to a healthy workforce in a safe workplace in Singapore.
