MOM has set up the WSH Institute in partnership with the WSH Council to help stakeholders develop the necessary capabilities to manage WSH issues and ensure that WSH improvements in Singapore are sustained.

The WSH Institute has signed two Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) recently.

MOUs were signed with the U.S National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) and the National Library Board (NLB). A common goal uniting the three organisations is to work towards the common mission of preventing workplace injuries and ill health.

Dr Jukka Takala has been appointed as the first Executive Director (ED) of the WSH Institute as of 28 December 2011.
